More precisely, Instagram user @melizah21 chose to roast the grated coconut that will be used as a topping for klepon. The roasting process aims to evaporate the water content in the grated coconut, so that the klepon will last longer. The method is quite easy. Prepare the grated coconut first. After that, roast it in a pan without oil. Roast the grated coconut while stirring using a spatula until dry (but does not turn brown). "By roasting the coconut briefly, our klepon can last until the evening without going stale easily, not drooling, and still delicious to eat," said Instagram @melizah21.
