Brilio.net - Catching chicken is one of the typical Indonesian dishes which is quite popular. This typical Acehnese dish has a delicious taste and appetizing aroma. When you bite into it, the various herbs and spices feel very thick.

Material:
- 500 gr chicken meat, cut into pieces and wash clean
- 1 pandan leaf, cut into pieces
- 1 galangal segment
- 2 koja bay leaves or curry leaves
- Enough water

Ground spices:
- 1 segment of ginger
- 1 segment of turmeric
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 2 tsp salt/to taste
- 4 cloves garlic

Complementary spices:
- 1 stalk of lemongrass, bruised and cut into pieces
- 3 rather large pandan leaves, cut into pieces
- 3 red onions, thinly sliced
- 4 curry leaves
- 5 lime leaves
- 7 green chilies

How to make:
1. Mix chicken with ground spices. Add galangal, pandan leaves and koja or curry bay leaves.
2. Pour water until the chicken sinks. Stir well and cover the chicken until cooked, approximately 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to see the level of doneness.
3. Prepare cooking oil and complementary spices. Fry the fried chicken with complementary spices. Fry until browned, remove and serve on a plate.
