Popcorn is one of the popular snacks because it is known for its crunchy texture and savory taste. Usually, popcorn is a snack choice when watching movies, watching TV, or just relaxing at home. Even though it is only made from corn kernels, popcorn can be eaten with a variety of savory and sweet flavors.
However, making the perfect popcorn can be a challenge. One common problem is popcorn that doesn't pop properly. This is usually caused by moisture in the corn kernels or uneven heating during popcorn making. Meanwhile, popcorn that is cooked too long can become hard and burnt.
Using a pan with a transparent lid can help monitor the corn kernel development process so that it is not overcooked or not cooked at all. In addition, the temperature setting of the stove can also affect the final result of the popcorn. But not only that, the pan used needs to be shaken so that the popcorn expands perfectly and does not burn.
Well, instead of using a complicated method, you can apply another trick when making popcorn. This trick was once shared by Instagram user @melizah615. Through one of the videos uploaded, she claimed to be able to produce popcorn that expands perfectly and does not burn. But not with a pot or pan, she chose to use electronic devices, you know.
Next, add the dried corn kernels and stir so that all parts are evenly covered with margarine. Make sure the pan is hot. Then close the rice cooker and press the 'cook' button. If the button switches to 'warm', you can press it again so that the mode switches to cooking. At this stage, the popcorn making process will produce the sound of corn colliding with each other because it pops. Let it sit until the sound subsides. If there is no more sound, it means the popcorn is perfectly cooked.
