"Washing eggs is not recommended, especially if you do it excessively, for example by rubbing. This is because washing eggs excessively or by rubbing them can remove the protective membrane (cuticle) that is on the surface of the egg shell," explained Instagram @ammaizza1 as reported by BrilioFood on Saturday (20/7). However, it cannot be denied that some people are often uncomfortable because they find dirty eggs. Therefore, Instagram user @ammaizza1 uses a safe method, namely by wiping the egg shells using a cloth. This is considered to be able to remove dirt and stains on the surface of the egg shell.
