Brilio.net - Cooking rice has become a habit for most Indonesians. In the past, cooking rice was done using a stove and steamer. However, as technology advances, cooking rice can be done using an electronic device called a rice cooker.
Well, rice cooker makes the process of cooking rice more practical and faster. Even in a matter of minutes, rice can turn into rice. This certainly makes the cooking process shorter and more efficient.
Even so, many still face obstacles when cooking rice, such as the TikTok account owner @listianisa__. A boarding house resident named Listianisa once shared her experience when she failed to cook rice in a rice cooker. The moment was shared in the form of a photo compilation on her personal TikTok account.
As reported by BrilioFood on Monday (12/8), initially the boarding house child showed the inside of the rice cooker containing raw rice. After investigating, it turned out that the rice had been mixed with water beforehand. However, the water did not fully absorb into the rice even though the rice had been cooked for hours.

This immediately made Listianisa surprised and wondering. Because the rice had been cooked from 5 pm to 10 pm. However, the condition of the rice in the rice cooker still had not turned into rice.
"How about eating, I'm starving," said Listianisa via the TikTok account @listianisa__.

After showing the top of the rice which was still flat, he then stirred the rice which was still submerged in water. After further inspection, it turned out that the heating button had not been moved to 'cook' mode. As a result, the rice was still raw.
But behind that, there is another more complicated problem. Listianisa admitted that the rice cooker she used could not stay in 'cook' mode. So, even though it has been pressed down or to 'cook' mode, the button will return to the top in 'warm' mode. This condition was experienced by one netizen.
"My magicom doesn't want to cook unless you stir it, but when it's cooked it wants to go into warm mode on its own so it burns... so the most manual way is to wait 30 minutes," explained TikTok @mhmdirfan_s.
"That's really true sis, exactly this," replied TikTok @listianisa__.

In the upload, Listianisa also appears to re-cook the rice. After the button is pressed down ('cook' mode), she plugs the top of the button with the tip of a rice ladle. Hopefully, the rice can be cooked perfectly and can be consumed.
Unfortunately, the results of the re-cooked rice were beyond expectations. Because the rice cooker was in continuous cooking mode, the result was that the cooked rice was burnt . This can be seen from one of the uploaded photos. The cooked rice was very dense and black on the bottom.
