Brilio.net - Not a few people cook in large quantities for a full day's worth of meals or to eat with other family members. But sometimes, the food doesn't end up being finished quickly. Not wanting to waste it, many people store leftover cooking in the refrigerator to use as stock.
When you want to consume the food, just heat it. However, it is different from processed vegetables which spoil easily. This can be caused by several factors, such as the use of poor quality water, the process of washing the vegetable filling ingredients which is not optimal, and so on.
Stale vegetables are usually characterized by a change in taste to sour. If this is the case, like it or not, the vegetables will just be thrown away because they are no longer suitable for consumption. But an Instagram user @sakinahsil has a way to save his almost stale vegetable preparations.
In the video upload, he appears to have yellow vegetables without coconut milk. The filling is complete, there are shrimp, long beans, carrots, and so on. Unfortunately, this vegetable was considered almost stale, even though it had only been prepared in the morning.
" Yesterday I cooked vegetables in the morning, I don't know why in the afternoon they tasted almost stale. But it wasn't stale yet, I think it was because it was hot and closed it straight away, " he wrote in the video caption.
He didn't rush to throw it away, he immediately used a special method to save his vegetables. As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @sakinahsil on Friday (19/7), he relies on two kitchen ingredients, namely garlic and baking soda.

First, peel two cloves of garlic. Once done, crush and add two cloves of garlic to the vegetables. Do this process while the vegetables are being heated on the stove.

Stir then cook the vegetables until they boil . After boiling, the vegetables look good again. It doesn't stop there, he also adds 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the vegetables. No need to worry, adding baking soda doesn't change the original taste of the vegetables.
"Cook until it boils, the vegetables will be fresh again," said the video owner.
If this is the case, turn off the stove and the vegetables are ready to be served. After you've finished eating it, don't forget to put it in the refrigerator so it doesn't go bad.
