Brilio.net - Recently the public was shocked by the recording of Plaza Indonesia mall security abusing a dog. In a video that has been widely shared on social media, security officers in black uniforms hit the head of a guard dog or sniffer dog that usually guards the front of the mall.
"Hello @plazaindonesia. Please fix the security. Why was the dog beaten? Why did it have to be so rude?" wrote @marleneharliman on Instagram stories which have spread widely on social media, reported by brilio.net Saturday (9/6).
Due to this incident, the security who was the perpetrator also received insults . In fact, quite a few people are demanding that the mall fire the person concerned. Through the Plaza Indonesia account upload, it was discovered that the mall had decided to terminate the security service vendor contract, K9 Security. The mall, which is located in the center of Jakarta, ensures that it upholds integrity and a code of ethics, including not legalizing any form of violence against animals.
"Plaza Indonesia has decided to effectively stop K9 security services," said the mall via an Instagram post.
However, it is known that there is another reason related to the actions of the mall security guard towards the dog named Fay. In the video shared by the @heraloebss account on platform X, security apologized for hitting the dog until the video went viral on cyberspace. While sobbing, the man named Nasarius then explained his reasons for hitting the dog.
"Morning everyone, I am Nasarius, the Fay animal handler who hit the dog at Plaza Indonesia. As a person, I apologize," he said.
Apparently, he was forced to do this because the animal in his care attacked the kitten. In order to save a kitten that had been bitten, he beat the dog. However, he openly admits that he loves Fay, his dog.
"I'm sorry, that's my dog. I had to hit him so he would stop being attacked by kittens. I love him, he's my dog," he explained.
However, this classification did not make the officers who interrogated him believe him. The officer asked again why Nasarius hit and abused the dog around the Plaza Indonesia mall.
"Then why do you have to be hit?" asked the officer who interrogated Nasarius.
Feeling guilty while still sobbing, the shopping center security guard revealed that he was trying to save a kitten that was about to be attacked by a K9 dog, the name for the animals involved in security operations.
"With the aim of the dog being able to release the kitten," explained Nasarius further.
Hearing the sincere apology from the security guard who had been criticized, netizens were touched and sympathized. Not a few people questioned the person who first uploaded the video of the dog beating because they thought they didn't see both sides.
"It's important to look at both sides, don't worry about uploading directly to social media," wrote the account @lupp
"It's his own dog, he's the one who feeds it, he's the one who educates it, it's the employer's turn to hit MOST ANIMAL LOVERS who appear to demand justice," added @FAchrulre8orN
"How dare you cut off people's good fortune for the sake of animals. Turn it on yourself," said @Betatim999
