Brilio.net - Planting plants in the yard can add beauty and a natural impression. Among the various types of plants, banana trees are one of the ones that bear fruit quickly. Banana trees can not only be planted in the garden, but also in the yard. All parts of this tree, from the fruit, leaves, trunk, to the heart, can be utilized.
Generally, each banana tree can only produce one bunch of fruit. However, to ensure that the bunch produces many large fruits, proper care is needed. One way to care for it is to provide sufficient nutrition to the banana tree.
In providing nutrients, it is not always necessary to use chemical fertilizers. There are several kitchen ingredients that are also effective as natural fertilizers. The use of these kitchen ingredients can help banana trees produce large and sweet-tasting fruit.
To be more precise, a YouTube user named Alex Go Green once shared this trick in one of his videos. Quoted from BrilioFood from YouTube Alex Go Green, he used salt as one of the ingredients. Salt is indeed known as a natural fertilizer for plants.
However, it turns out that Alex does not only use salt. He also uses one kitchen dregs, namely rice washing water. So, these two ingredients will help the banana tree bear sweet and large fruit.
But before being given the fertilizer, there are a number of steps that need to be done first. So if you want the bananas to be sweeter and bigger, make sure the banana tree has started to bear fruit. In the video, Alex admitted that his banana tree was 8 months old.

If there is already a bunch of fruit, usually the bottom also has a banana heart. Well, you have to cut this banana heart. If there are some parts of the banana fruit that grow, but are still small, you also have to pick and throw them away.
"Including small fruits, we remove them so that their nutrients are not divided. So later we can focus on growing the fruit that we will maintain," explained Alex.

Next, clean the ends of each banana. According to Alex, this will make the bananas grow optimally and fuller. Once they are clean, then make the liquid fertilizer.
First, prepare the rice washing water and put it in a bottle. After that, mix it with 1 tbsp of table salt to taste. So for one banana tree, the amount of salt used only needs 1 tbsp. As for the rice washing water, you can adjust it.

After both are mixed in the bottle, shake it until it is evenly distributed. If so, transfer this liquid into a plastic bag. Now, this rice and salt washing water is ready to use.
So this liquid will basically be hung on the end of the banana bunch. Before that, make sure the end of the banana bunch has been cut into a point. This is so that the stem can absorb the nutrients from the rice water optimally.

Then, install the plastic containing the rice water. Insert the plastic into the bunch and make sure the ends are submerged in the water. If so, tie the plastic with the help of raffia rope.
"The fruit will be wrapped in plastic so that the results remain smooth, free from black spots, and can ripen quickly," said Alex Go Green.
