Brilio.net - Small fish bones can get stuck in the throat if you are not careful when eating. Although not too sharp, fish bones that get stuck still make you uncomfortable and can cause pain when swallowing. If left untreated, these fish bones can cause infections in the throat.
Many people try to swallow a ball of rice to help the fish bone go down into the stomach. Others use bananas, marshmallows, salt water, and others as alternatives. In addition to swallowing food, fish bones can also be removed with tweezers or using a spoon to press on the outside of the throat to help the bone go down.
In addition to these methods, there are other methods that can be tried when experiencing similar incidents. A YouTube user, Edy Cay, once shared an easy trick to overcome fish bones stuck in the throat. This method does not require any food or aids.
To practice this method, position your body in a sitting position. Once you are done, hold both ears with both hands.
"Left hand for left ear, right hand for right ear," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Edy Cay on Saturday (9/11).

Hold and pull the ear firmly. During this process, you also move your throat as if you were swallowing food.
"Do it together until you feel the thorn in your throat disappear," he said further.

In this way, the fish bone that is stuck will go down to the stomach. No need to worry, because the bone will eventually be destroyed through the digestive system as usual.
"God willing, once it enters the stomach, it can be digested, so it's safe," he said.
