Some people even soak green beans first before boiling them. Actually, there is a trick to make green beans soft in just a few minutes. This trick was once shared by YouTube user Ruli Yantiani. In one of her videos, she showed that green beans can be boiled for only 15 minutes without having to soak them first. This method certainly saves gas usage.

As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Ruli Yantiani on Saturday (23/3), first prepare a pan. Then add the washed green beans. Then add water to boil. Make sure the green beans are completely submerged in water. After that, turn on the stove, cover the pan, then boil until boiling.

After boiling, the YouTube user stirred it for a while, then boiled the mung beans for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, turn off the stove.

"I want to turn off the heat, then cover the green beans again and let them sit for 30 minutes. Even though we have turned off the heat, the cooking process is still ongoing, my friends," he said.

After letting it sit for 30 minutes, the texture of the mung beans began to expand. Next, the YouTube user boiled the mung beans again for 10 minutes.

"Well, this is the result after boiling for 10 minutes, the green beans have split and are soft," he explained.

The YouTube user then processed the soft mung beans into mung bean porridge. He added coconut milk, brown sugar, and pandan leaves to the boiled mung beans. Then cooked again until the coconut milk boiled.

"The coconut milk is boiling, I stirred it briefly so that the coconut milk doesn't split. Cook it again briefly until the coconut milk reduces a bit," he concluded.
