1. Celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The video went viral recently after Independence Day. Karyaman as one of the administrators of the Ummul Qurra Grand Mosque said that the activity was one of the series of Indonesian Independence Day which was held on Thursday (15/8).

2. Not in the courtyard of the mosque.

In addition to explaining when it happened, Karyaman also denied that the dancing did not actually take place in the mosque yard, but on the side of the highway. He said that at that time a carnival procession celebrating Independence Day passed in front of the Ummul Quraa Grand Mosque.

3. 7 meters away is the mosque door.

Karyaman said the location of the young people dancing was 7 meters from the entrance to the mosque. However, in the video it looks like they are inside the mosque yard.

"The person who recorded it was around the field in front of the mosque. Beside the mosque were MSME actors who were moved from the field," he said.

4. There are no more activities in the mosque.

Although considered unethical, Karyaman continued that the dancing took place at 23.00 WITA. At that time they did not disturb the mosque because there were no more activities.

"There were no more activities at the mosque at that time. They also didn't stay long, because they were going around the parade (celebrating Independence Day)," he said.

5. The teenagers who were dancing apologized.

Despite having apologized, netizens seem unsatisfied. Many said that they had embarrassed Wajo district so they should be given strict sanctions.
