Brilio.net - Storing hot water in a thermos is a practical way to prepare tea, coffee, or milk without having to boil water repeatedly. A thermos functions as a container that keeps hot water available for a long time. However, hot water stored in a thermos often cools quickly, even though it has only been stored for a few hours. The causes can vary, such as poor quality thermos material, improper use, or a loose lid. In fact, damage to the thermos components due to falling can also be the cause.
To solve this problem, some people usually disassemble the thermos to repair the damaged components. Another alternative is to line the inside of the thermos with cloth and paper, which aims to maintain the temperature of hot water longer.
But besides being dismantled, there is actually another simpler way, you know. This was once shared by a YouTube netizen with a channel called ALL IN CHEAP. In one of the videos uploaded, he gave a trick to make the water in the thermos hotter for weeks.

As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube ALL IN CHEAP on Monday (10/21), prepare clear, heat-resistant plastic. In the video, YouTube user ALL IN CHEAP uses a plastic bag. He first cuts the plastic bag into a smaller, square shape.
"This is shaped like a bag, right? We cut it so it's not too thick," he concluded.

After that, prepare a thermos filled with hot water. Place the plastic over the thermos hole. Then close the thermos tightly. That way, the water in the thermos can stay hot longer.

"If it's like this, your thermos (water) will last up to two weeks or even weeks, yes, it will still be hot," explained YouTube ALL IN CHEAP.
Furthermore, he also explained the function of the plastic. According to him, the use of plastic will make the thermos lid tighter. This is because plastic prevents steam from hot water from coming out of the thermos.
Well, the hot steam trapped inside the thermos will keep the water temperature inside stable or unchanged. That way, the hot water in the thermos can last up to two weeks.
