Brilio.net - The rice cooker can be said to be the most frequently used appliance in the kitchen. The reason is, this tool can cook rice automatically, making it practical to use every day. However, for those of you who regularly use a rice cooker at home, you need to remember to always keep it clean, so that the dishes remain hygienic when served.

If the rice cooker is rarely cleaned, there is a risk that a lot of stubborn limescale stains will appear, you know. In fact, it is not uncommon for the inside of a rice cooker to rust. This was also experienced by users of the Nano Teknik YouTube account.

"There are a lot of traces of rice on the edges, it could also be from the steam, it's rarely cleaned so it's crusty," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Nano Teknik on Friday (31/5).

Well, usually, people clean scale stains on rice cookers with the help of citrus or citric acid. However, unlike the netizen who is better known as Nano, instead of using citrus, he admits that he has another trick that is no less effective in making a rice cooker full of crust shine again. After all, to practice this trick, he only needs one simple tool and materials.

How to clean scale stains on a rice cooker.

One tool needed to practice this rice cooker cleaning trick is sandpaper. Gently rub the inside of the rice cooker that has crust stains with this sandpaper. Sandpaper has a rough texture which is effective for scraping off crusty stains.

After sanding, clean all remaining crust that has managed to fall off with a clean cloth.

Next, clean the rice cooker again with one ingredient, namely dishwashing soap. Use a sponge dampened with a little water to rub dish soap all over the rice cooker. If all parts of the rice cooker are free of stains, wipe them using a clean, dry cloth.

The owner of the YouTube Nano technique account explains, don't rinse off the remaining soap by pouring water into the rice cooker, because it can damage the machine. Once the rice cooker is clean and dry, this tool is ready to be used again to cook rice.
