Brilio.net - Cooking rice can now be done using a rice cooker to make it more practical. The result is that the rice becomes soft and perfectly cooked. Using a rice cooker helps ensure the desired texture of the rice.
Using a rice cooker is indeed easy, but it also has disadvantages. Sometimes you can get hard and dry rice after cooking. This problem often occurs when the rice cooker is worn out. Another cause could be because the rice cooker keeps the rice warm at too high a temperature. When rice is stored in conditions like this, its texture changes.
To overcome this problem, some people usually add certain ingredients when cooking rice. One of the ingredients that is often used is cooking oil. This ingredient is believed to make rice more sticky and soft. In addition, rice is also not easy to dry even though it is stored warm in a rice cooker. That way, the texture of the rice is maintained better.
Unfortunately, using cooking oil can actually make rice go stale quickly. Well, besides using cooking oil, you can actually use another method when cooking rice. The method was demonstrated by Instagram user @siskadp0809.

As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @siskadp0809 on Monday (11/11), first neutralize the rice cooker pan that will be used. It's not enough to just wash it. After washing it clean, put about 2 tsp of salt and 250 ml of water into it. Close the rice cooker then press the 'cook' button, wait for 10 minutes.

Cooked rice can be stirred immediately to cook evenly. The resulting rice looks clean white and does not smell at all. According to him, this is because the rice cooker pan used has been sterilized first.
