Brilio.net - Fish is one of the seafood known for its affordable price. Various types of fish are used by the community as side dishes. Fish can be processed into various menus and enjoyed with white rice and vegetables. However, even though it tastes delicious, many people avoid eating fish. This is because there are bones and spines in the middle of the fish meat.

For those who are not used to it, fish bones can be easily swallowed and potentially get stuck in the throat, which is certainly very painful. Many people remove fish bones before processing and consuming them. A common method is to cut the fish meat with a knife, but this risks making the fish meat not intact and easily shrinking when cooked.

Alternatively, some people use a tool like a pressure cooker to boil the fish until the bones are soft. Although effective, this method usually only works on fish with fine bones like milkfish. If you want to remove larger fish bones, there is another method you can try. This method was once shared by YouTube user Dunia Rojak. In one of his videos, he showed how to remove fish bones without using a knife or a pressure cooker.

But he actually uses scissors to keep the fish meat intact. Reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Dunia Rojak on Saturday (11/9), the first thing to do is to remove the gills at the bottom of the fish's head. The method is to immediately pull the gills using your hands directly. After that, open the head and body a little until it is wide enough.

If the head is already open, cut the bone in the neck of the fish. To make it easier, cut it using scissors. At this stage, make sure the head is not cut off so that the shape of the fish remains intact.

Next, press the back of the fish from head to tail. Continue pressing or massaging until the meat makes a 'crack' sound. This sound indicates that the spines on the back have been removed from the fish meat. Repeat this process on the bottom or belly of the fish as well.

Once done, move on to the tail. Twist the tail until the bone feels broken (don't let it come off). After that, pull the fish bone in the neck that was cut earlier. While pulling, hold and hold the body by gripping it. Then keep pulling the bone until it comes off.

Well, this fish that has been deboned can be directly processed into various menus. Because the bones have been removed, the fish will be more practical to consume. You don't need to worry anymore about there being spines that will be swallowed.
