Materials and tools for cleaning helmetsCleaning a helmet doesnt always require special cleaning products. Some simple ingredients that are easy to find at home are effective enough to remove dirt and remove odors.
One of the ingredients used is shampoo which functions to remove oil and provide a fresh scent to the inside of the helmet. Shampoo is chosen because it contains gentle cleaning agents and can remove stains without damaging the inner layer of the helmet.

Additional ingredients used are baking soda, which has antibacterial properties and is able to absorb bad odors. Baking soda is also known as a natural cleaning agent that is effective in removing dirt without damaging the surface.
As an aid, a clean cloth is used to wipe the entire surface of the helmet. If there are stubborn stains that are difficult to remove, an old toothbrush can be used to brush more detailed parts.
