A YouTube user, Zulaikha Pratiwy, shared a trick to clean a magic com that is full of scale in a simple way. In her video, she shows a magic com that looks very dirty, even the inner layer has started to rust due to rarely being cleaned.
" It's understandable, the owner is a boy, so he only cleans the inside, so only the rice container. The outside and the gaps seem to have never been cleaned ," he said in the video.
Seeing the condition of the magic com which was already very dirty, he immediately took it to the kitchen to be cleaned. He used simple ingredients, namely citric acid, dishwashing soap, hot water, and a cloth and sponge.
Citrus is chosen because it is known to be effective in removing scale and rust without damaging the surface of the tool. This material is also very affordable, even available for only Rp3 thousand at the nearest shop.

The first step is to mix one pack of citric acid with dish soap and hot water in a container. After that, the sponge is dipped into the mixture, then squeezed so that it is not too wet before being used to scrub the inside and outside of the magic com.
" To clean it, simply use a sponge soaked in citric acid soap, then wipe it with a dry cloth. Don't let it get too wet, because this magic com is an electronic device, so you're afraid that the water will get on the machine ," he explained.

For the hard-to-clean parts, he used an old toothbrush to remove dirt more effectively. After scrubbing with citric acid and soap, the rust and crust that had stuck to it began to lift, making the magic com look much cleaner.

After all the parts are cleaned, he makes sure that the magic com is dried with a clean cloth so that no water remains. This step is important to prevent new rust from forming in the future.
" Alhamdulillah, now this magic com looks shiny. If we take care of our kitchen equipment diligently, it will definitely last longer and remain comfortable to use ," he said.
