"I pray for Jokowi's good health for being able to endure the daunting state duty. I apologize if there's an unpleasing word," he wrote.
Last Wednesday, the former Minister of Communication and Information recited a prayer wishing for Jokowi to put on some weight. His remark, later was considered inappropriate to be used for a religious event.
Tifatul himself denied his prayer was a satire.
"We only pray for Jokowi's good. Because we see now that he's getting skinnier. We hope forGod's blessing upon Jokowi. Developing this country is difficult, so since his duty is heavy, we pray him to be given a physical strength," said Tifatul.
After the incident, another PKS leader Sohibul Iman offered apologize to the concerned parties. "If it was considered improper, please forgive us. Secondly, if we judge it entirely, that was a great prayer because we wish for the positive of this nation and the well-being of the president as well," said Sohibul.
