Recently, the condition of the Hajj tents in Mina has been in the public spotlight. Many said that the conditions of the tents were deemed inadequate and exceeded their proper capacity. This was conveyed by the Deputy Chair of the Indonesian DPR and Chair of the Indonesian Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas), Muhaimin Iskandar.

The figure better known as Cak Imin carried out a surprise inspection (sidak) of the Hajj pilgrims' tents in Mina. During the visit, Cak Imin then expressed concern about the condition of the tents and facilities for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.

"We discovered the fact that the number of congregations and the tent capacity did not match," he said, quoted from Instagram @dpr_ri.

The vice presidential candidate who is taking part in the 2024 elections also continued that one person only gets a bed that is less than one meter wide. According to him, this condition will make it difficult for the congregation to sleep. So there are congregants who choose to sleep in the tent hallways.

"One person only got a bed less than one meter high. How could they sleep? They ended up sleeping in the hallway. This must not happen again," he continued.

Apart from that, Cak Imin also highlighted the gap that occurred in the distribution of tent areas. During his visit, he saw a tent which turned out to be wider. Meanwhile, on the other side, there are tents where you have to sleep in tight quarters.

"There are tents that are too spacious and spacious. This is unfair. This wrong distribution must be corrected. In the future, each tent must have a standard size per person per name, like in hotels," he added.

The condition of the pilgrims' tents for Indonesia is in stark contrast to the facilities for South Korean pilgrims . A video circulating shows the atmosphere of the tent which seems luxurious and very comfortable. Apart from that, the South Korean congregation was also served a variety of fresh fruit and snacks.
