Brilio.net - Almost a year has passed since Baim Wong reportedly failed to go on the Hajj. Paula Verhoeven's husband's failure to perform the Hajj pilgrimage has also become a hot topic of public discussion. At that time, Baim reasoned that he had to look after his wife who had miscarried her third child.
Even so, quite a few people suspect that Baim is just doing a prank. Some even mentioned that the actor was reluctant to board an economy class plane.
After being kept from the public for a long time, the 43-year-old man finally revealed the real reason he failed to fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam in 2023. In a post on Instagram, Baim expressed his anxiety that he had been harboring because the news of his cancellation of the Hajj led to baseless accusations and speculation from netizens.
"Sometimes people's perceptions are all over the place, at that time they said that because I didn't want to take economics class I could just keep quiet. "Even though that's not the main problem," wrote Baim Wong, quoted by brilio.net from Instagram @baimwong, Monday (3/6).

According to Baim, apart from his wife having a miscarriage, the visa used was not Furoda's Hajj visa but an ordinary Hajj visa. This is of course entirely the fault of the travel agent he used.
For your information, Furoda is a special Hajj pilgrimage program without queuing for which visa permits have been granted by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the authority of its embassy in the Republic of Indonesia. Departure for Hajj with a Furoda visa is regulated in Law number 8 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah.
Seeing this news, I remembered what happened before. Apart from the fact that I have to look after Paula, the main reason is because her visa is not furodah," he continued his statement.
The news that Baim Wong referred to in the upload was regarding the arrest of 24 Indonesian citizens who were suspected of falsifying Hajj visas . Based on the latest information from Saudi Arabian authorities, 22 pilgrims will be released because they are considered victims. It was stated in the news that the congregation suffered losses of up to 150 million per person.

Unfortunately, Baim only found out about the visa issue when he was already on the plane. Not wanting to take any chances, the star of the film Rain in June got off the plane and didn't leave.
"And I only found out on the plane, because I didn't have the ticket at the airport," he said.
According to him, if he had given a statement at that time, he was worried that more prospective pilgrims would fail to go. Therefore, Baim chose to cover up many things.
"If I give a statement, I'm afraid there will be many people who will fail the Hajj because of me. Hopefully now you can understand," explained Baim.
At the end of the sentence, Baim advised prospective Hajj pilgrims to be careful with promises made to travel services. He does not want the experience of being deceived by fake travel services to be experienced by other people.
"Now I want to speak up, so that we can be wary in the future. Be careful with Travel's promises," he concluded.
