Recently, the story of a grandmother named Mak Sombret went viral who wanted to accompany her neighbor on the Hajj. This grandmother, whose real name is Ratih, was willing to spend Rp. 600 thousand to rent a motorbike taxi from Kajen to Solo after running out of bus seats for the Hajj group in her village.

Mak Sombret finally met a motorbike taxi driver in front of his house and traveled 190 km to the Hajj hostel in Solo. However, when he arrived there, he did not meet his neighboring group, but instead a group from another village.

Mak Sombret works every day as a casual laborer and collects junk. She lives alone in a very simple and old house in Dukuh Mbalong, Kulu Village, after her husband left her in 2016.

Thanks to his viral story, he got the opportunity to perform a free Umrah pilgrimage from a travel and Umrah agency. Currently, he has set foot in Mecca to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.
