Brilio.net - In his old age, living alone without his family by his side, an elderly grandfather struggles hard to meet his daily needs. Without support from those closest to him, his daily life is filled with never-ending challenges.
In order to survive, he has to take on the difficult struggle of selling. Meanwhile, to treat hunger, every day the grandfather eats rice mixed with water. His life became even more miserable when his wife died.
Brilio.net reported from Instagram @mobilmenebarkebaikan that the 90 year old grandfather's name was Hamid. If one is supposed to be in old age, one is surrounded by the warmth of family. Not so with Hamid. He actually lives alone without any family.

Hamid's daily income from selling is only IDR 5,000. That's even if someone buys his cracker merchandise . The money was used to buy rice. Yes, just enough for rice.
"In his weak and sick condition, grandfather had to struggle selling crackers, grandfather's income was very small, only 5 thousand, even if someone bought his merchandise. And that money was only enough to buy rice," wrote in the Instagram caption. Quoted by brilio.net on Monday (15/7).
Because of this financial condition, the grandfather was forced to live a life that was far from decent. Because he only needed to buy rice, his grandfather never ate vegetables, let alone side dishes. Sadly, Hamid ate the rice mixed with water to make him full.
The grandfather admitted that even that had made him full. In the video, the grandfather can be seen with shaking hands feeding the rice into his mouth. What's even sadder is that sometimes the rice you eat is leftover from yesterday. Nevertheless, Hamid ate the plate of rice he made with great gusto.

"It's really sad, grandpa can only eat rice mixed with water. That makes him full, grandpa," wrote the caption.
This grandfather's story then went viral and attracted the attention of netizens. Not a few were moved to help their grandfather and asked for the complete address which was not mentioned in the video. Apart from that, netizens also criticized the government's presence on this issue.
"Can I leave you in a nursing home for help, so that grandfather has a friend and someone to take care of it," said the account @lia_n2l.
