Brilio.net - Taking good care of your blender is an important key so that this electronic device can be used for a long time. This can be done by cleaning the blender optimally, avoiding foods that are too hard, and keeping the blade sharp.
So, this blade is an important component that can determine the performance of the blender. Basically, a sharp knife blade will cut all food ingredients optimally, so the texture is smoother and softer.
Usually blender blades are made from rust-resistant stainless steel and are designed to chop various types of food ingredients. However, with use, the ability of this blade can decrease if it is dirty. One of the stubborn stains that often sticks to knife blades is yellow stains from turmeric. Apart from affecting the performance of the knife for cutting food ingredients, turmeric stains also make the blender look dirty and dull.
In fact, turmeric stains on blender blades are often a problem experienced by many people because they are difficult to clean. You need special tricks to remove turmeric stains, for example by drying the blender blade in the sun for hours. For some people, this method is considered effective in removing turmeric stains and making the blender blade shine again.
But instead of waiting hours to remove turmeric stains on the blender blade, you can apply a simpler trick, you know. This trick was shared by TikTok user @rumah_home2. Through one of the uploaded videos, he admitted that he only used simple ingredients at home.
Clean turmeric stains on the blender blade.
Reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @rumah_home2 on Wednesday (22/5), the simple ingredient in question is toothpaste. Apart from that, there is also one additional kitchen ingredient, namely baking soda. So, a mixture of these two ingredients will be used to quickly clean turmeric stains on the blender blade.

To be clear, first apply the blender blade toothpaste using an old toothbrush. After that, rub until the turmeric stain fades. Do this process repeatedly, then rinse under running water.
Next, place the blender blade on a plate. Then sprinkle with baking soda evenly. Continue brushing again until it is completely clean. When scrubbing the blender blade with a brush, make sure you do it carefully so as not to scratch it.

If you have brushed it, continue rinsing the blender blade with hot water. Then soak it in hot water for approximately 30 minutes. This is done so that the turmeric stains completely fade.

So, after soaking, you can immediately remove the blender knife. Shortly after, this blender component looked shinier and cleaner. There are not even any yellow spots left, so the blender blade looks like new.
How? This mixture of toothpaste and baking soda is very effective in removing turmeric stains, isn't it?
"This method can also be used to clean blender cups that have turned yellow due to spice stains," said TikTok user @rumah_home2.

Taking good care of your blender is key to ensuring the blades stay sharp and function optimally. Here are 9 tips for caring for your blender so that the blades are always sharp:
1. Clean immediately after use.
Wash the blender immediately after use to prevent food residue from drying out and sticking to the blades. Use warm water and dish soap to clean it.
2. Avoid processing materials that are too hard.
Blenders are not designed to process very hard ingredients such as large ice cubes or large quantities of coffee beans. Cut the material into smaller pieces or use another more suitable tool.
3. Don't fill it too full.
Avoid filling the blender jug too full, as this can cause excessive pressure on the blades and motor. Follow the maximum capacity instructions which are usually printed on the blender jug.
4. Use fluids.
When processing dry or thick ingredients, add a small amount of liquid to aid blade movement and reduce stress on the motor.
5. Regularly sharpen knife blades.
If possible, remove the blade from the blender and sharpen it regularly using a knife sharpener. This will help maintain its sharpness.
6. Use the pulse function.
Using the pulse function periodically when blending ingredients can help maintain blade sharpness and prevent uneven wear.
7. Avoid washing in the dishwasher.
If the blade is removable, wash it manually. High temperatures and harsh detergents in the dishwasher can damage the blades.
8. Store properly.
If your blender has removable blades, store the blades in a dry and safe place. Make sure the knife is not hit by a hard object or dropped which could cause damage or decrease in sharpness.
9. Check and replace seals periodically.
The safety seal or rubber under the blade needs to be checked periodically. If the seal is damaged or loose, it can cause leaks and damage to the blade and motor.
