Material:
- 500 gr starch
- 500 ml medium thickness coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp vanilla powder
- 350 gr brown sugar or palm sugar
- 150 gr granulated sugar
- 900 ml of water
- 10 pandan leaves
How to make:
1. Boil coconut milk, cool and set aside.
2. Heat the steamer along with a round or square baking pan.
3. In another container, mix the starch, coconut milk, vanilla powder, and vegetable oil, stir well, and set aside.
4. Cook the water, brown sugar, granulated sugar and pandan leaves until it boils and the sugar dissolves. Pour hot into the starch mixture. Mix slowly while stirring. Then strain, pour into a heated baking dish.
5. Steam for 50 minutes until cooked. Cover the steamer lid so that the steaming water doesn't drip on the cake. Remove and cool.
6. Cut into pieces with a plastic knife then roll in grated coconut. Serve.
