"This time I will give tips for boiling beef tripe quickly and tenderly so that it saves gas," he said, as reported by BrilioFood from Bunda Deni Maslikah's YouTube on Wednesday (7/2).
At the beginning of the video, the YouTube user explains that he will boil 600 grams of beef tripe. This beef tripe has been boiled once to reduce the pungent odor and remove the black color that sticks to the surface of the tripe.
"I have boiled it once to reduce the strong smell and black color that sticks to it. It is still very hard and I will boil it a second time," he explained.

Before boiling, prepare a pan filled with water. Then put the beef tripe into the pan. Don't boil it straight away, add some kitchen ingredients first to remove the strong aroma of beef tripe. Additional ingredients are a handful of rice, 2 bay leaves, 5 kaffir lime leaves, galangal and ginger.

After adding some additional spices, cover the pan and boil the beef tripe until it boils. Next, if the tripe has boiled, continue the process of boiling the beef tripe for 10 minutes. Then after boiling for 10 minutes, turn off the stove and let the beef tripe rest for about 15 minutes. Even if the stove is turned off, the beef tripe cooking process will continue in the pan.

After letting it rest for 15 minutes, turn on the stove again and boil the beef tripe for 7 minutes. Once finished, turn off the heat and let the tripe cool for about 1 hour. The cooled tripe can then be drained. The YouTube user said that the addition of some kitchen spices was quite effective in eliminating the strong smell of beef tripe. It has been proven that after boiling, beef tripe does not smell. Not only that, the texture is also soft and tender.

"You can see that the results are soft, tender, and smell very delicious from the spices that I added when boiling," he concluded.
If it's still not soft enough, you can repeat with the same boiling method. With this method of boiling, you don't need to use a pressure cooker. Gas stoves are even more economical.
