Brilio.net - Have you ever felt amused by seeing a crowd of ants? Yup, for most people, the presence of these insects is very annoying. Moreover, if it spreads throughout the room, it will make you uncomfortable.

Well, usually ants often appear in areas where there are sweet foods, such as sugar. Even though sugar is stored in a jar that is tightly closed, ants can still surround the sugar. Not just one, but usually ants come in groups. As a result, sugar becomes unhygienic and contaminated.

Many people want to get rid of ants for hygiene reasons. Some people also choose to repel ants using dry bay leaves. Dried bay leaves are cut into several pieces, then placed on the area affected by ants.

However, if you don't like the smell of bay leaves, it turns out there are other, no less practical ways to get rid of ants from sugar jars. This other method was demonstrated by YouTube user @musdha_. In his video upload, this netizen appears to only rely on 1 kitchen ingredient to get rid of ants from his sugar jar.

Reported by BrilioFood from YouTube @musdha_ on Friday (17/5), at the beginning of the video, the netizen showed his sugar jar which was full of crowds of ants. Knowing this, he added 1 kitchen ingredient, namely cloves, to the sugar jar. Yup, cloves have a strong and sharp aroma that ants don't like.

This netizen also put in 3 clove seeds which were placed scattered. After waiting a while, apparently the ants started to come out. But there were still some ants left in the jar. Ants just stay away from cloves.

The netizen then moved the cloves to an area where there were hordes of ants. Apparently after waiting some more, the ants finally came out of the sugar jar. Now, after all the ants are out of the jar, you can close the container tightly again.
