To speed up the boiling time, some people add salt. Salt is believed to speed up the cassava boiling process, so that the cassava can be soft in 20 minutes.

However, there is another technique that can make the boiling time faster. This technique was shared by TikTok user @mimi_arayzka. In one of her videos, she shows a special technique that can make boiled cassava soft in just 10 minutes.

As reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @mimi_arayzka on Saturday (14/9), it is better to choose cassava that has cracked skin and still has a lot of soil attached. Cassava like this tends to be soft, easy to crack, and also tastes good when cooked.

After that, wash it clean and peel the skin. Don't forget to rub the surface of the peeled cassava with a knife. This aims to remove the bitter taste of the cassava skin that is still attached. If so, cut the cassava into several pieces and set aside first.

If so, prepare water in a pan and boil it until it boils. Then add the cassava that has been cut into pieces. Boil the cassava over high heat for 5 minutes in an open pan.

After 5 minutes, cover the pan and turn off the stove. Let the cassava soak in hot water for 30 minutes. Well, this hot water will continue boiling, making the cassava soft.

Next, open the lid of the pan and turn the stove back on. Then boil the cassava for 5 minutes after the water boils. If it has been boiled for the second time, cover the pan and let it sit for another 7 minutes to make it softer.

Well, the boiled cassava can be immediately lifted and drained. Because it is cooked and soft, cassava is ready to be consumed. You can eat it directly or process cassava into various dishes.
