The polemic involving Tommy Winata and Agnez Monica continues. Tommy, who is known as a Buddhist and environmentalist, was accused of being Agnez Mo's godparent. However, clarification came from Engel Glendy Sahanggamu, a businessman close to Tommy, who confirmed that the news was not true.
"I want to emphasize that Tommy Winata is a Buddhist and could not possibly be Agnez Mo's godparent. He has also never backed anyone," Engel said in his statement on Wednesday (26/2).
Engel added that Tommy was not involved in Agnez Mo's problems and is currently in China, so there is no reason to associate him with the issue. "This news is a hoax, Mr. TW does not understand Agnez Mo's problems," he explained.

Engel also explained that currently Tommy Winata is focusing on development under the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration, especially on environmental issues.
"He tried to dedicate his life to the nation through the Artha Graha Peduli program and various breeding activities," added Engel.
Engel also asked all parties not to damage Tommy Winata's good name. "Please don't damage Mr. TW's image," he said.
He emphasized that Tommy prefers to focus on humanitarian and environmental actions rather than getting involved in unnecessary issues. "Mr. TW wants to do good for many people and believes that goodness will bring a better life," Engel concluded.
