Brilio.net - Carrots are vegetables that are rich in health benefits thanks to their diverse nutritional content. Based on information from healthline.com, this orange vegetable is not only a source of vitamin A, but also contains various important nutrients such as minerals, fiber, vitamin B, lycopene, and beta carotene. Regular consumption of carrots allows the body to absorb all of these nutritional contents optimally.

In addition to its high nutritional value, carrots are also favored for their sweet taste and can be processed into various dishes. The flexibility of carrots in processing makes them suitable for various types of dishes, from fresh juices, soup fillings, stir-fries with eggs, to simple steamed vegetables.

Seeing the benefits and ease of use, many people choose to keep a stock of carrots at home. Some even prepare carrots that have been peeled and cut for easy processing. However, storing carrots requires the right technique because this vegetable is susceptible to changes in texture, taste, and even rot.

Luckily, a YouTube content creator named Dapur Leony has shared a method for storing sliced carrots that can maintain their freshness for months, thus preventing waste due to rotting.

First, wash the carrots that will be used as stock. Make sure the entire surface is free from dust or dirt.

After washing thoroughly, peel the skin of the carrots completely. Set aside the top and bottom of the carrots.

Don't forget to wash the carrots that have been peeled again. This is so that the carrots can be maximally clean.

Next, cut the carrots into the size needed. In the video, this woman cuts carrots into various sizes and shapes.

"I want to cut it into rounds for soup, cut it into long pieces for the Surabaya ote ote mixture or bakwan," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Dapur Leony on Friday (25/10).

When all the carrots have been cut as needed, put them in a plastic bag or container. In the video, the carrot stock is put into a plastic bag from used instant noodles. The woman deliberately separated each piece of carrot according to its shape and function.

Without having to add water to soak the carrot stock, you can immediately put the plastic or container into the refrigerator. Don't just put it in the right part of the refrigerator, okay?

"This can be stored in the freezer or it can also be stored in the bottom of the freezer or in the fish storage section," he explained further.

When you are going to process it, just take out the carrots as needed. You don't need to worry about the carrot stock rotting if you store it that way. Practical, right?
