Brilio.net - Matcha is usually served in the form of a refreshing green drink with many health benefits. But not just a drink, matcha is now widely used as a mixture in various foods, especially sweet foods or desserts. Starting from sponge cakes, ice cream, wafers, to cookies can be mixed with matcha, resulting in a distinctive taste.
But have you ever imagined if matcha is processed into a savory side dish? Although it sounds quite strange, this was once used as inspiration by Kirana Larasati . The 37-year-old celebrity admitted to having a unique way of processing matcha. But not as a dessert, let alone a refreshing drink, Kirana actually cooks it with shrimp.
This was once shared through her personal Instagram account, @kiranalarasati. She seemed to be about to make stir-fried matcha shrimp for a side dish. Starting from curiosity, Kirana, who claims to like matcha, immediately tried the new menu.
"Matcha is crazy. Let's just make it into a dish mixed with shrimp. I've never done that before," said Kirana Larasati, quoted by BrilioFood from the Instagram account @kiranalarasati, Thursday (11/14).

Well, how to make matcha shrimp also seems quite easy. First, peel the shrimp and clean it first. Also remove the skin, head, and tail of the shrimp. After that, rinse again until clean. After that, set aside first.
Once done, slice the peeled shallots and garlic. In addition to shallots, prepare other ingredients such as salt, pepper, pepper, and olive oil. In the video, Kirana Larasati also appears to use butter to make it taste even more savory.

Next, prepare the matcha sauce that will be used. He admitted to using 2 tsp of ceremonial matcha powder to produce a thick texture and a strong matcha flavor. After that, mix with 50 ml of warm water, stir and shake until the matcha powder dissolves.

Next, pour olive oil into the pan. Once hot, add the shallots and garlic. Saute until fragrant. Once done, add the shrimp and cook until half cooked. Then add the butter and let it sit until wilted.
After the butter has melted, add seasonings such as salt, pepper, and black pepper. Then add a little matcha sauce that has been mixed earlier. Stir and cook for a while, then serve on a plate.
