The Dayak blood in Tesa means that she has regularly consumed jamu and is thoroughly acquainted with its benefits and its effects on the body. Over time, Tesa saw a lucrative business opportunity in her expert knowledge of jamu. She realized that her vast experience using the traditional medicines could produce something special that would help others, as she explained to brilio.net recently: Many people consume chemicals or dangerous products to treat their body because they are lured by the instant results. But those products can have harmful effects in the short and long term. This motivated me to start my own business selling jamu to help people find safer, healthier alternatives for treatment.
As Tesa began using the specific jamu prescriptions from her ancestors, her jamu product became different from other jamu products found on the market. In fact, because of her high profits, she has been able to hire five employees and open a shop in the Simpang Lima area of Semarang. But thats only the beginning. Tesa, the beautiful owner of Sinok Kemayu, has plans to launch a new business venture related to jamu. She wants to prove to the world that being a pretty girl does not always mean you follow the pre-determined course that your culture has placed before you. She wants to demonstrate how a pretty woman in Indonesian culture can be an independent woman too and, through hard work and intelligence, become a successful business owner.
