Brilio.net - Social media has recently been shocked by the unfortunate incident that happened to four people from Jakarta, Thursday (6/6). They received an unfortunate fate after being attacked by a mob because they thought they were thieves. This incident occurred when the four of them wanted to pick up a rental car in Sumbersoko Village, Sukolilo District, Pati Regency, Central Java.

Reported by brilio.net from the Instagram account @memomedsos_official, Friday (7/6), it was reported that this incident started when four people with the initials BH (52), a resident of Jakarta, SH (38), a resident of Jakarta, KB (50), a resident of Tegal, and S ( 30) resident of East Jakarta, went to Pati to pick up the rental car belonging to victim BH. Unfortunately, when they were about to take the car, they were seen by residents who suspected them of being a gang of thieves. As a result, a vigilante scene occurred.

This incident was immediately investigated by the Pati City Police. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Pati Police, Commissioner M Alfan Armin, explained that his party immediately carried out an investigation by immediately coming to the location on Friday (7/6).

"Based on the results of the investigation we carried out yesterday's incident in Sumbersuko Village, Sukolilo District, based on information from the victim who was able to be examined and is in hospital," explained Alfan to the media crew at the Pati Police Headquarters, Friday (7/6).

Even worse, Alfan explained that the victim with the initials BH had died as a result of the beating incident.

"Initially, these victims left Jakarta to go to Pati for the purpose of inviting the victim, BH's brother, who died, to pick up BH's brother's rental, according to their information, the GPS position was in Sumbersoko Village, Sukolilo District," explained Alfan.

Meanwhile, the car driven by four people from Jakarta was also burnt down by the crowd during the incident.

"The Daihatsu Sigra car brought by the victims was burned by residents who we are currently evacuating," explained Alfan to the media crew, Friday (7/6).

Alfan added that one of BH's victims, who also owned a rental car, died as a result of being beaten by residents. Meanwhile, three other victims were treated in hospital.

"At Kayen Regional Hospital at around 18.00 WIB, one of BH's victims was declared dead. According to information from one of the surviving victims, they were invited by BH's brother," Alfan added.

After this vigilante incident, the Pati Police have temporarily asked for information from witness AG, who is none other than the borrower of the rental car whose owner wanted to take it, namely BH. AG admitted that he only borrowed the car.

Apart from that, the Pati City Police Department has detained two people. However, in their statement, the police did not provide detailed information regarding the figures of the two people who were arrested.

"Regarding the injured and deceased victims, we from the Pati and Sukolilo Police conducted an investigation and currently we have arrested two people, in connection with the beating which resulted in two people dying. The status of both of them is still being investigated in depth, we will report the results later," concluded Alfan in his statement to media crew, Friday (7/6).
