Brilio.net - Recently a CCTV video has gone viral showing an accident involving a motorbike rider in Purwakarta, West Java. The video shows the incident at the Parcom T-junction, Purwakarta Regency on Friday (24/5).

CCTV footage shows a police officer stopping and checking a motorbike on a two-way road. The police then moved to the middle of the road to stop other motorbike riders. This sudden action shocked the motorbike rider and he hit the police before falling to the right, onto a road that had no barriers.

Unfortunately, from the opposite direction, an unladen green truck passed by and the motorbike rider got under the truck and was run over by the rear wheels. The 41 second video shows the police immediately helping the motorbike. Residents around the scene also seemed to help.

Many people think that the police action of stopping a vehicle in the middle of the road is very dangerous. This incident experienced by the victim named Muhammad Faris Abdul Rofi is proof of this.

Recently a video emerged clarifying the parents of the victim who was involved in the accident which was uploaded to the Instagram account @humas.polrespurwakarta, the parents of Muhammad Faris Abdul Rofi. The victim's parents apologized because the video of the incident showing their child being run over by a truck after being stopped by police in the middle of the road went viral.

"In connection with the viral video on social media, especially on the Info Purwakarta account, the news about the traffic accident which is blaming the Purwakarta Police is not true," said the victim's father.

In the clarification video, the victim's father explained that the incident started when his son, Faris, passed the Parcom T-junction without using a vehicle plate. When he saw the police in front, Faris panicked.

"So my child felt scared because there was an officer in front of him and increased his speed and accidentally touched the officer's hand, then fell," he said in the video.

The victim's father also denied that his son had been run over by a truck, but rather was grazed and regarding the viral video, both parents said that they had no intention of spreading it.

"We have no intention of distributing or making viral this video which was spread without the permission of our family. Having this viral video is beyond our responsibility as the victim's family," he added.

However, the existence of this clarification video has actually made netizens angry with the steps taken by the Purwakarta Police. After the Instagram account @humas.polrespurwakarta uploaded the clarification video, their comments column was flooded with insults from netizens.

"This really doesn't make sense. It's clear that the child was the victim, why should the parents clarify. The police should explain the chronology according to the picture on CCTV." said the account @kangimanow

"CLARIFY THE POLICE WHY THEY ARE THE VICTIM, EMBUNG IN SALAHKEUN TEH KITU EUY, EDEK THE VICTIM NA MAKES A NOISY EXHAUST, TEU MAKES A PLAT, SIA GE BOGA PROCEDURE FOR DISMISSING MEREN TEU KUDU NGANJLENG JIGA BANGKONG, ETA NU MATAK THE VICTIM REUWAS, WRONG MAH WRONG "WEH PAK GES KAGOK FRIED, CLEAR EVIDENCE KITU EDEK IN KUMAHAKEUN DEUI, SIA TEU NELEU ETA KOLOT NA WATIR KITU WAS ADMITTED TO CLARIFICATION," said the account @galihgustione

"How come the victim is clarifying, sir," wrote the account @ayumaulidia3

"Even though CCTV has spread to all corners, it has become a general assessment... The position and method of stopping is not appropriate and endangers the driver and other motorists... it's actually the opposite, sorry," responded the account @jayamulyana6

"It's time for the victim's parents to clarify, which side is the police, sir? They have to be together with the witnesses who were at the incident and have to tell the truth, don't punish them bluntly upwards sharply downwards, sir," commented the account @putriisalsanabila
