Brilio.net/en - Once every blue moon, a project will spring up that's ambitious in scope and moving in terms of subject, that it will warrant a mandatory status for everyone who lives on this planet.

In trying to answer the question "what is it that makes us human?", film-maker Yann Arthus-Bertrand embarked on a journey over three years, interviewing close to 2000 people in over 60 countries. The end result is arguably one of the most -if not the most- significant work of art the world has seen this year.

Arthus-Bertrand has compiled his journey into a 3 hour+ documentary titled "Human." Although the complete documentary will be screened in theaters, the team behind the film has already put multiple portions of the movie on their YouTube channel, in which you can watch the videos right now.

"I am one man among seven billion others. For the past 40 years, I have been photographing our planet and its human diversity, and I have the feeling that humanity is not making any progress. We cant always manage to live together. Why is that?I didnt look for an answer in statistics or analysis, but in man himself," Arthus-Bertran said on the movie's website.

At its core, the documentary was the result of a collaboration with the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation and the GoodPlanet Foundation.

Interviews posted on their YouTube channel range from normal people from all over the globe to luminaries such as Bill Gates, Cameron Diaz, U.N. General Secretary Ban Ki-moon, and former Uruguayan president Jos Mujica. Here are a couple of the videos that were released on 'Human's' YouTube channel:
