Star Wars: The Force Awakens may only be less than a month away, but moviegoers are already ensuring they get a seat once opening weekend rolls around. Movie insiders and analysts have already chalked $50 million in favor ofStar Wars in terms of advance tickets purchased online.

Currently it has eclipsed the first Hunger Gamesas the biggest pre-seller in the history of online movie ticket company Fandango.

Some optimistic pundits are already predicting that once it opens,Star Wars will rush past Jurassic World'srecord for biggest opening weekend ever, which currently stands at $208.8 million.

However, many are still being cautious in predicting Star Warsopening bow, because December is a very competitive month in terms of movie releases. Until this year, the biggest opening weekend of any movie released in December is held byThe Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with $85 million; a numberStar Wars will most definitely race past.
