Brilio.net - Recently circulating on social media a video of a Plaza Indonesia security guard named Nasarius was caught on camera hitting a dog. The video was uploaded by celebrity Robby Purba. As a result, the security guard's actions drew criticism, especially from animal lovers. Until finally, the security guard was fired and had to lose his job.
" Plaza Indonesia has decided to effectively stop K9 security services ," wrote Plaza Indonesia in a statement posted on Instagram.
However, after further investigation, the reason the security guard hit the dog was because he wanted to save a kitten. It was discovered through CCTV and its classification that he saw the dog pouncing on a kitten. So he hit the dog so it could release its bite.
" I'm sorry, that's my dog. I had to hit him so he would stop being attacked by small children. I love him, he's just a dog ," he said in a word while sobbing.

After many polemics circulated, one of the security guard's friends, Arif, who both worked at Plaza Indonesia, spoke up. He said that he was ready to be a witness to the incident. This was conveyed via comments with the TikTok account @arifsunann.
Arif did not deny that his friend hit a dog. However, he conveyed the relationship between his friend and the dog he hit. According to him, the security guard named Nasarius really loves dogs.
" My friend's background is good. A migrant from Flores who deliberately became a member of K9 because of his love for dogs ," he said.
Arif often saw Nasarius playing with the dog named Fay. He also often takes Fay on duty and patrols to maintain security at Plaza Indonesia. However, when he went to work, Nasarius bought Fay food with his own money. This is so that the dog can work in a fit condition.
" Every time my friend is on duty, he always buys Fay food (personal pocket money) so that Fay is fit while on duty ," he wrote.
This statement is at least a form of counter narrative to the accusation that Nasarius was dishonorable after hitting the dog. Arif felt so lost when his co-worker had to be fired from Plaza Indonesia. He even really regretted this incident.

Arif said that if time could be turned back he would love to repair the tap. There are no words that can be said other than encouragement for his friend. And hopefully one day we can still meet fellow security guards and dogs at the mall.
" Keep the spirit up Nasarius. Hopefully in the future we can meet again with Fay. And one thing I still believe in. That my friend is good ," he concluded.
This statement then attracted the attention of netizens. Many of course feel sorry for what happened to the security guard. They also prayed that the security guard would receive abundant fortune after his dismissal.
