Atalia is widely called the strongest candidate to become Mayor of Bandung. In fact, this mother of three also has a great chance of occupying the position of Deputy Governor of West Java.
However, ahead of the registration of regional head and deputy regional head candidates opened, Atalia decided to step down. Atalia's resignation was expressed through her Instagram social media.
At the beginning of the message, Atalia expressed her gratitude because her name was always at the top of a number of surveys conducted. Both as a prospective mayoral candidate and a prospective deputy governor candidate.

Atalia made the decision after considering various aspects in depth. She stated that the great responsibility she bears as an elected member of the DPR is one of the main reasons behind the resignation.
In addition, this decision was also taken after Ridwan Kamil-Suswono declared themselves as a pair of Gubernatorial Candidates-Deputy Gubernatorial Candidates in the Jakarta Pilkada, Monday (19/8). It was said that she would accompany her husband if he wins in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election.
"I am sure that this decision is the best for all parties, so that I can focus on my service as a people's representative in the Indonesian House of Representatives, on my mandate in various organizations and professions, and accompany my family and Kang Emil in his next destiny," said Atalia.

Atalia emphasized that her devotion to the people of West Java will not stop. She even stated that she is ready to go down the mountain to help Golkar Party cadres who are determined to advance in the Bandung Mayoral Election and the 2024 West Java Gubernatorial Election. She also ensured that she would fight for the hopes of the people of Bandung City and Cimahi City.
