Brilio.net had the opportunity to follow the activities of a member of the Bantul Satpol PP named Murty Indrady. Not only does he bring order to Projotamansari district, Indra has social activities that attract attention. In 2017 he founded the Berkah Bantul community.
"Thank God, with the Blessing of Bantul I can communicate and stay in touch with orphans, the poor, the poor and thank God we have renovated houses nine times, in Bantul," said Indra.
Initially he joined Berkah Jogja, which then wanted to develop in his homeland. Indra prioritizes school needs and the need to recite the Koran for orphans. Meanwhile, for the elderly, Indra provides assistance in the form of basic necessities. Berkah Bantul has renovated nine residents' houses in a period of seven months.
"Thank God, if we provide compensation to orphans, we don't go to orphanages. We try to come to homes, to homes, to homes. And my target is those who really need it," explained Indra.
His determination gathered when he became a suspect in a case of violence while on duty. Intending to break up a brawl during a football match, Indra was actually reported on charges of violence.
"I was imprisoned, sis, I was in prison for 11 days. And being in prison was extraordinary, sis. I really felt that humans were nothing in the world. I tried to reflect and God willing, I will become a more useful person than the previous days." explained Indra.
The commander at Satpol PP where he has worked since 2014 continues to support Indra. Indra was allowed to return to work after his case was finished. Indra's social activities also received permission from his commander. The Head of Peace and Public Order of the Bantul Satpol PP, Anton Vektori, who was also met by Brilio.net, explained that his party supports Murty Indrady's positive activities.
"Mr. Indra, if you want to do compensation activities, you also happen to have my permission. There are quite a lot of activities in the office, coincidentally when you have free time during work hours, the activities also happen to be finished. Mas Indra gives me permission for compensation activities. Apart from that, it's after working hours. "There are also lots of activities there, maybe that is one of the callings of Mas Indra himself to carry out this charity," explained Anton.
Even other Satpol PP members also set aside funds through the donation box. Apart from personal funds, Indra's closest friends and relatives are also active in helping with compensation. Now, Berkah Bantul is managed by 7 people.
"God willing, we ourselves will never open donations or open special accounts to help orphans and the poor. God willing, we will try to set aside our own fortune and we will never open donations for these children. Because I think it's better to be simple, "sincere, sincere, God willing, God will grant us what we wish for," concluded Indra.
