My salaries are stagnant, but I can separate my needs from my desire, said the supervisor of a property company in Cikarang.

Jerry said that he found many obstacles in achieving his success. The husband of Novi Arliany claimed that he was used to do multiple jobs such as becoming a driver. He just started to get the right job in 2010. At that time, he worked as a senior management staff in a property company in Cikarang.

A year later, exactly in 2011, he got married to Novi, his coworker. Then, they rented a cluster house in their office area to reduce the transportation cost.

At that time, my salary was IDR 2,7 million ($ 197) and my wifes was 2 million ($ 146). At the beginning of our marriage, I did not have either car or motorcycle. Thus, for daily transportation, I drove my wifes car which she bought before our marriage, said Jerry.

Thus, Jerry and his wife began to make extra money, starting from renting or selling properties.Then, they saved the money they earned from that business little by little, until they were able to buy a 153 square metre plot which cost IDR 130 million. Jerry dreamed of having his own house for him and his family after all.

After 10 months of marriage, finally my wife was pregnant, thank God. I was extremely overjoyed to hear such good news and I felt more motivated to build my own house. Even by saving the money we earned from our additional job, it seemed still not enough to build a house as large as our plot; our saving was only around IDR 100 million ($ 7,352). The situation was gotten worse when all of my wifes jewelry were robbed in our rented house and we lost about IDR 20 million ($1,420), said Jerry.
