Brilio.net - Intensive use of switches and sockets in daily activities causes the surface of these electrical devices to easily get dirty. Accumulation of dust and crust that sticks over time can change the appearance of switches and sockets to become dull. This condition often occurs especially in electrical devices that have been used for a long time.

Cleaning crusty switches and sockets requires special care in the process. Using water to clean electrical devices should be avoided, as it risks causing a short circuit. As explained in Uma Ome's YouTube upload, there is a special safe method for cleaning crust on switches and sockets to make them shiny again.

"Don't use water, so it doesn't get into the gaps between the switches," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Uma Ome on Friday (1/11).

This man explained that instead of using water, he only needed one kitchen ingredient to clean the electrical socket switch.

Before starting the trick, first stick duct tape around the switch or socket so that the cleaning material will not touch the walls of the house. Then, prepare an old toothbrush to help the process of cleaning the switch or socket.

Rub a toothbrush with a little dish soap. Yup, this dish soap is the main kitchen ingredient for practicing this trick to eradicate limescale on the electrical outlet switch. Rub the electrical outlet switch for a few moments until the stains fade.
