However, in addition to its delicious taste, netizens have also recently highlighted its high calorie content. One TikTok user @doctor.incognito_99 once gave a similar response in one of the videos uploaded. He had appealed to netizens not to FOMO (Fear of missing out) with the viral chocolate. The reason is, the calories in this chocolate are really high, even equivalent to several packets of Padang rice.

As reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @doctor.incognito_99 on Wednesday (11/13), the calories in one bar of Dubai chocolate can reach 1,200. Meanwhile, the size of one block of chocolate contains 200 calories. This amount is equivalent to 2-3 packs of Padang rice.

"One block of chocolate contains 200 calories, while one bar can contain 1,200 calories. So it's like eating 2-3 packets of Padang rice," said the TikTok content creator and beauty doctor.

Consuming sweet foods with excess calories can certainly have a negative impact on health. Reported from mdpi.com, consuming high-calorie foods can increase long-term health problems, such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. While the instant impact can cause a spike in blood sugar which then triggers the body to release the hormone insulin to regulate blood sugar.

On the other hand, blood sugar spikes can make the body feel dizzy and weak. In addition, excessive chocolate consumption can also have an impact on dental health. The sugar in sweet chocolate can increase the risk of cavities and gum disease. Bacteria in the mouth ferment sugar into acid, which can damage tooth enamel.

Although it can cause serious problems, it doesn't mean you shouldn't eat Dubai chocolate. To be safer, you can consume this Dubai chocolate in small portions, such as one bite per day. Or you can also consume it with others to share the calories so that they are not excessive.

In addition, consuming high-fiber foods before eating chocolate can also have a good effect. Fiber from vegetables, for example, can reduce excess blood sugar spikes. And after eating, don't forget to exercise to burn calories that enter the body.
