Brilio.net - Croissants have now become a favorite food in Indonesia. With a layered and crispy texture, croissants offer a unique sensation made using many layers of butter. In Indonesia, croissants can be found in various bakeries to luxury restaurants.

How to enjoy croissants usually varies, depending on taste and creativity of presentation. In France, croissants are often served with jam or butter to add a sweet or savory taste. However, in many places, including Indonesia, croissants are also served with various fillings such as cheese, chocolate, or a mixture of meats such as ham and sausage to provide a richer taste.

These variants allow croissants to be a delicious breakfast or snack option at various times. But what if this French specialty is served with a mixture of typical Indonesian condiments. A croissant variant appears with a unique taste, namely uduk rice. This croissant creation was once uploaded by one of the X users (formerly Twitter).

On Saturday (10/26), user X with the account @gori_batagor uploaded a photo of two croissants arranged side by side. Well, on the front is the name of the croissant variant, namely nasi uduk croissant. There is also the number 39 embedded on the card, indicating that the price of this croissant is set at IDR 39,000 per portion.

After further investigation, this croissant is one of the flavor variants released by a bakery in Jakarta. This flavor variant was first sold last August to commemorate the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. Inspired by local cuisine, the restaurant created a croissant flavor variant that combines croissants and uduk rice.

The presentation is also quite unique . Croissants and eggs that have been baked are then given various toppings typical of uduk rice. Starting from a slice of cucumber, stir-fried anchovies and peanuts, to chili sauce arranged on top of the egg and croissant.

This croissant variant does look so creative and very unique. However, many netizens doubt its taste. This was expressed through the comments column of the upload of the X account @gori_batagor. Because it is so unique, not a few will think twice when they want to eat this croissant variant of uduk rice.

" Huh?? Is it worth it? I don't think so, " said the X account @xingyuve.

Premium version of uduk rice, but how does it taste? replied X @piscesgirle.

" Nope, it's too strange ," wrote account X @ikandlmkolam_.

" The funny thing is, even though it's called uduk rice, the toppings used (eggs, anchovies, peanuts, and chili sauce) are actually components of nasi lemak ," commented account X @pramayudhaamdan.
