So to apply it, first measure the straw to the damaged jacket zipper. Next, cut the straw to about 1 cm. Once cut, then split at one end only. After splitting the straw, then glue it to the damaged part of the zipper using hot glue.

So, how to open the damaged zipper rail area, apply glue evenly. Attach the straw pieces to the inside and outside of the zipper. Then glue it again using pliers. Once you feel it has stuck perfectly, trim the edges using a straw.
