Brilio.net - Changing bed sheets and pillowcases regularly is a normal thing that many people do. However, washing pillows is still a job that is rarely done. In fact, pillows can become a nest for germs even if the pillowcase is often replaced with a new one.
Pillows used for sleeping can basically harbor a lot of bacteria or even insects such as mites. So, if left unchecked, these bacteria and insects can make the pillow less comfortable to use. Apart from that, the appearance of the pillow can also turn dirty and fuzzy if it is neglected continuously. This has been experienced by YouTube user Zulaikha Pratiwy.
"So apart from maintaining cleanliness, washing pillows serves to ensure that our family is free from allergies. Even though it sounds trivial, washing these pillows is highly recommended because if pillows are dirty, for example, they become a nest for germs, bacteria, and can also be full of dust. This pillow also looks "mouldy, lots of black spots, and lots of yellow spots too," said YouTuber Zulaikha Pratiwy, quoted by BrilioFood on Sunday (11/2).
Then to clean the pillow, he used a number of special ingredients, namely bleach and liquid detergent. But not only that, he also added kitchen ingredients to the cleaning fluid. Well, the kitchen ingredient in question is cooking vinegar.
You also have to pay attention to the use of these ingredients, OK? First of all, prepare a container and pour in enough bleach. After that, take the sauce and apply the bleach to the dirty surface of the pillow. Don't forget to use protective equipment, such as masks and gloves.

While polishing, also rub the dirty surface of the pillow with an old toothbrush. After that, put the pillow in a bucket filled with water and detergent. Then soak for 10 minutes, then rub again if there are stubborn stains.

Next, rinse with water. After that, transfer it to the washing machine for further rinsing and drying. So, in the final rinsing stage, add clothes freshener and cooking vinegar. Basically, cooking vinegar will help neutralize the strong smell of bleach while making your pillow fresher.

So, after rinsing and drying, keep drying this pillow in the sun until it's dry. If it is dry, the pillow can be used after covering it with a pillowcase. The condition of the pillow being clean and white like new will make you comfortable using it.
