Brilio.net - Buttercream is one of the main elements in cake decoration that not only adds beauty but also a distinctive sweet taste. With its soft and easy-to-shape texture, buttercream is often used to decorate various types of cakes. However, behind its tempting appearance, buttercream is often considered too heavy and makes you feel nauseous when consumed in large quantities.
One reason buttercream can feel overwhelming is its high fat content. Made from a mixture of butter and sugar, buttercream has a dense texture that can leave a greasy taste in the mouth. In addition, if used in thick layers or in excessive amounts, the intense sweetness of buttercream can be too dominant, making people feel full quickly and uncomfortable.
To overcome this problem, many cake makers are looking for ways to make a lighter and more balanced buttercream, like Instagram user @nichaluthfiah did. Through one of the videos she uploaded, she admitted that she has her own trick to make a soft and non-nauseating buttercream. After investigating, it turns out that there is one additional ingredient used to produce delicious buttercream.
As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @nichaluthfiah on Tuesday (14/10), the ingredient in question is soft cream (whipped cream or cream cheese). Well, this soft cream can make buttercream lighter and softer. In addition, the addition of soft cream can help balance the taste of buttercream which is usually very sweet and rich in butter.

Next, add 150 grams of soft cream and mix again at high speed for 5 minutes. Once done, add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (large size). If you don't like milk, you can replace it with simple syrup.

Then add 1 tsp vanilla essence. Mix again at medium speed until well blended for 5 minutes. Now, the finished buttercream can be stirred again with a spatula. Then the buttercream is ready to use.
"Because the texture of this butter cream is light and soft, I also use it to fill and decorate strawberry shortcake which generally uses whipped cream," explained the owner of the Instagram account @nichaluthfiah.
Having been viewed more than 7,000 times, this video about the trick of making buttercream immediately caught the attention of netizens. Who would have thought, many other Instagram users also gave direct responses in the comments column. Most of these netizens admitted to being interested in trying the trick.
" How long can it be stored, Mom? And what is the best way to store it? I want to make it, but I'm afraid it will go stale first if I make too much ," asked the Instagram account @albaaab.ar.
" It can last up to 3 months, sis. Store it in an airtight container in the bottom of the refrigerator, sis. If you want to use the cream, just leave it at room temperature until the texture is soft again. No need to mix it again, sis, " replied Instagram user @nichaluthfiah.
