Brilio.net - Among the many cooking utensils in the kitchen, the frying pan is one that is used almost every day. In fact, for some people, a frying pan that has been used for a long time actually feels more comfortable. The frying pan is not only used for frying, but can also be used for sauting and baking food. Although it makes the cooking process easier, the use of a frying pan is not free from problems.
Over time, the bottom or bottom of the pan often becomes covered in black crust. This burnt crust appears because the stove flame directly hits the bottom of the pan. Unfortunately, this burnt crust cannot be cleaned in the usual way. Dish soap and a brush alone are not enough to remove it. Therefore, another way is needed to make the bottom of the pan clean and shiny again.
If you are still confused about how to do it, you can follow the trick shared by a netizen named Zulaikha Pratiwy on YouTube.
In her video, she shows a tutorial on how to clean a crusty pan bottom using only 2 simple ingredients. Namely, bar soap and citric acid solution.
First, grease the bottom of the pan with soap . Spread it evenly using your hands until the soap is evenly distributed.
"Spread it like this, so that all the crust can come off," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Zulaikha Pratiwy on Wednesday (11/27).

After that, heat enough water that has been added with a pack of citric acid. Wait a few moments until the solution becomes warm.
"Now, if you've done that, put the previously greased frying pan into a larger frying pan," he explained further.

When the solution has boiled, turn off the stove and drain the pan to be cleaned. Scrape off the burnt crust on the bottom of the pan using a knife.
"It was really thick, I think it was about a few centimeters. So I scraped it with a knife, and the crust was easy to peel off," he said.

After all the burnt crust has been peeled off, this woman rubs the entire surface of the pan with a sheet of sandpaper. This aims to clean the pan as much as possible.
"I use 2 types of sandpaper, the first is rough sandpaper and the second is soft sandpaper," he said.

Finally, rinse the entire surface of the pan under running water. Make sure the pan is as clean as possible and free from any dirt that sticks to it.

As a result, the bottom of the pan that previously looked full of burnt crust becomes clean and shiny again. That way, you don't need to replace the pan with a new one, right?
