Brilio.net - The gas cylinder hose is a vital component in the operation of a gas stove that functions to channel gas from the LPG cylinder to the stove. The smooth flow of gas through the hose will produce a blue flame with optimal intensity. This component plays an important role in producing a stable flame for the cooking process.

Gas tube hose material commonly used in Indonesia is made of high-quality elastic rubber with double or triple layers. The layered construction of the gas hose provides good resistance to various conditions of use. The good durability of the gas hose allows use for a period of 1 to 3 years.

Damage to the gas cylinder hose can occur in various forms including tears that cause leaks. The torn condition of the hose causes gas to flow out of the proper path. Gas leaks due to tears in the hose can cause serious harm if not handled properly.

Gas cylinder hose replacement is recommended every 3 years due to the natural degradation of rubber. However, there are alternative solutions to overcome leaks in hoses that are still in good condition overall. Simple repair methods can be applied to overcome leaks without having to replace the entire hose.

A YouTube user KANG BADOG once shared a trick to overcome a leaking gas tube hose through one of the videos he uploaded. Initially, he claimed to be cooking instant noodles. However, when the stove was about to be turned on, there was a hissing sound coming from the hose. It turned out that there was a leak at the end of the hose that was connected to the regulator.

As reported by BrilioFood on Monday (16/12), the YouTube user then fixed it with simple tools, namely a screwdriver (minus) and a knife. For the method, you need to first remove the hose from the gas cylinder. Then open the lock (ring) of the hose hook and regulator with the help of the screwdriver.

When the key is open, immediately remove the hose and regulator. After opening, it is clearly visible that there is a leak in the hose. The end looks torn and broken, resulting in a fairly wide hole.

Instead of patching it, the YouTube user chose to cut the hole in the hose. Because the hole was also at the end, the hose that was cut was not very long. To cut it, he used a large, sharp knife.

After the hose is cut, reinstall the end of the hose on the regulator slowly. Keep pushing until the hose is completely tight with the regulator. Then tighten it with the ring wrench. You can use a screwdriver to tighten the hook ring wrench.

Now, the repaired hose can be directly installed on the gas cylinder. This trick is very effective in overcoming leaks in the hose. However, it should be noted that this method should also be applied if the leak occurs at the end of the hose. If the leaking part is in the middle, you can use another technique, namely by patching it.

This upload about the trick to overcome a leaking gas tube hose has been viewed more than 8,000 times. Looking at the comments column, quite a few other YouTube users also gave direct responses. Most of them admitted that the trick was very useful to practice.
