Brilio.net - The production house Visinema Pictures collaborated with KawanKawan Media to work on a dystopian crime drama film entitled 24 Hours with Gaspar. This film is also the first action film made by director Yosep Anggi Noen .
This new film by Visinema Pictures and KawanKawan Media is adapted from the novel of the same title by Sabda Armandio. The film 24 Hours with Gaspar is also reported to have completed the shooting process. In fact, this film premiered at the Busan International Film Festival on October 6 2023 and entered the competition to win the Kim Jiseok Award at that event.
It doesn't stop there, this film is also known to have won several nominations at the 2023 Indonesian Film Festival, including the categories of Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Female Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenwriter. The film 24 Hours with Gaspar also won the Citra Cup in the Best Adapted Screenwriter category.

The screenwriter and director of the film 24 Hours with Gaspar, Yosep Anggi Noen, said that in this film he wanted to include elements that he had never done in previous films. Apart from that, Anggi felt that during the production process she was given a lot of space to explore the story.
"This is my first action film and I am very happy because Visinema is able to provide space to accommodate wild thoughts and ideas and I think it is important to pay attention to the innovation of various types of cinema in Indonesia," said Anggi in a Press Briefing session attended by brilio.net on Friday (8 /3).
Anggi and M. Irfan Ramli, who is also the screenwriter for the film 24 Hours with Gaspar, admitted that they visited Semarang City before writing the film's screenplay. According to him, several corners of Semarang City have visual potential that can be used as capital for writing stories.
"The most interesting thing about the writing process is that we didn't break down the scene first, but what we did was go to a place that had visual potential for the film. We explored several corners of Semarang. Several phenomena that occurred there became one of the keys to the story. There "We see that this visualization is capital for writing stories," added Anggi.
The film 24 Hours with Gaspar tells the story of the life of a detective named Gaspar who is sentenced to die in 24 hours. A clue connects him to the mystery of Kirana's disappearance, namely his childhood friend, which ultimately leads him to plan to rob a gold shop in the remaining time he has.
Not only does it have an interesting and 'fresh' storyline, the film 24 Hours with Gaspar also stars a number of talented actors and actresses, starting from Reza Rahadian , Laura Basuki, Shenina Cinnamon, Sal Priadi, Kristo Immanuel, Dewi Irawan, and many more .

In this latest film, Reza Rahadian will also show a new look through his unique character. According to Reza, working with Anggi Noen, Visinema Pictures and KawanKawan Media is one of his wish lists. The 37 year old actor also admitted that the director gave him a lot of space to discuss the character he played.
"Being able to work with Ebe, Kristan, and Mas Anggi is also on my wish list. And having a look that is different from previous films, for me that is also something that is quite crucial. I think it is important to offer something that is at least different from the previous one," said Reza.
In line with Reza, Laura Basuki also admitted that she was happy to be able to join in the film project 24 Hours with Gaspar. In fact, he seemed to enjoy the filming process, which was mostly done in the city of Semarang.

"So I remember every time I filmed the food. When I was filming yesterday I was really happy because apart from the healthy working hours, the catering was also extraordinary. We filmed in Semarang, so when there was a break, we hung out and ate. So that's what's memorable about eat," said Laura.
Meanwhile, according to Shenina Cinnamon, the most memorable thing during the filming process was the scene where the car overturned and the moment when she was surrounded by hundreds of extras.
"The most memorable moment was when I saw the overturned car scene in the trailer. Apart from that, there was also a scene where I just said 'friends' but I was attacked by lots of extras and that made me feel like I was the coolest person," concluded Shenina.
