Brilio.net - What happens if carelessness results in mystical terror that threatens life safety? That's what happened to Ayu, her soul had to be shared with a supernatural Sinden figure named Sarinten.

The incident started when Ayu and several friends were filming a documentary about the Turonggo Yakso dance in Trenggalek, East Java. One of Ayu's friends took a sacred stone in Watu Kandang, Trenggalek, which was the filming location for the documentary.

Since then, Ayu has had to live side by side with the figure who possessed her, Mbah Sarinten.

This true story was then adapted by Starvision through a horror film entitled "Sinden Gaib". This film tells the story of Ayu who continues to be visited by a sinister figure from the supernatural world, Sarinten.

Many psychics were asked to overcome this disturbance, even involving supernatural content creators. However, the disruption actually got worse. Until now, Sarinten resides in Ayu's body.

Collaborating with producer Chand Parwez Servia and director Faozan Rizal, this film provides lessons for the audience to always maintain etiquette when visiting a new place. So that things that could pose risks can be avoided.

The film "Sinden Gaib" stars singer Sara Fajira as Ayu and Yuyun Arfah who plays Mbah Sarinten. Sara Fajira appears so impressive in the film when she is possessed by the figure of Mbah Sarinten. In the film, Sara also sings several times, like the events in the real story that Ayu experienced. This film was also filmed at the real scene where Ayu first came into contact with the figure of Mbah Sarinten who possessed her. Chand Parwez Servia conveyed that the true story happened in 2010 and went viral in 2019.

"Starvision believes that stories that have local, regional values also have relevance for a wide audience, through the horror genre. This film also teaches us to always respect local beliefs and always be careful in every action we take," he said, quoted by brilio.net from press release statement, Wednesday (21/2).

Meanwhile, director Faozan Rizal shared his experience interacting with the figure of Mbah Sarinten who lives side by side with Ayu. At that time, Faozan was surprised when he wanted to talk to Ayu, but instead the figure of Mbah Sarinten appeared in Ayu's body.

"What I still remember when I first met Ayu or Sarinten was the look in her eyes which at that time glanced sharply at me and immediately asked, "Do you believe me?" (do you believe me?). I was shocked, because I was just about to shake hands with Ayu (the original character) when Sarinten came straight into her. Seeing that I was a little doubtful, Sarinten asked again, "Am I beautiful or not?" (I'm beautiful, aren't I?). I immediately answered, "Yes, I believe you are very beautiful." Sarinten immediately laughed," said Faozan Rizal.

The shooting moment was no less mystical. At the location, Faozan Rizal and his crew experienced strange events several times. Like when she received a whisper while filming at Watu Kandang, Trenggalek, one of the locations in the real world where Ayu was possessed by Mbah Sarinten.

In the film "Sinden Gaib" the audience will also experience a mystical experience through sinden songs with a Banyuwangi touch. Sara Fajira shares her experience playing Ayu in this film.

This was a very complex experience for me. Apart from acting, I also have to sing with the Banyuwangi style. Viewers will see the mysterious figure of Ayu in the film "Sinden Gaib." "Working with Starvision and Mas Faozan Rizal as well as the entire cast and crew really helped me to play Ayu who has to share her soul with Mbah Sarinten," said Sara Fajira.

Sinden Gaib stars Sara Fajira, Riza Syah, Dimas Aditya, Naufal Samudra, Arla Ailani, Laras Sardi, Rizky Hanggono, Yeyen Lidya, Liek Suyanto, Yuyun Arfah, Novita Hardini, etc.

The horror film "Sinden Gaib" will be shown in all Indonesian cinemas starting February 22 2024. Keep up to date with the latest information via the official Instagram social media account @sindengaib @starvisionplus and TikTok @Starvisionhorrormovie.
