The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the DKI Jakarta Health Service (Dinkes) confirmed that Harvey Moeis , a convict in a tin corruption case, is registered as a participant receiving assistance contributions (PBI) in the BPJS Kesehatan program. This has become a hot topic on social media, especially regarding the participant status of Harvey and his wife, Sandra Dewi.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Ani Ruspitawati, explained that her office is committed to encouraging participation in the National Health Insurance (JKN) regardless of socioeconomic status. This is part of the central government's Universal Health Coverage (UHC) policy, which aims to ensure that all Jakarta residents receive their right to health.
"In accordance with the Governor's Regulation (Pergub) Number 169 of 2016, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is accelerating UHC to ensure that all residents have access to health services," said Ani, as quoted by Antara.
In the 2017-2018 period, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has a target to register 95 percent of the population as JKN participants. This policy aims to provide health protection for all DKI Jakarta residents.
"This gubernatorial regulation is a commitment from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to provide access to health services to people who are not yet registered in JKN. This protects the health rights of the people of Jakarta," he added.
According to Ani, residents who meet the administrative criteria, such as having a DKI Jakarta ID card and willing to be treated in class 3, can be registered as PBI APBD participants by the local regional apparatus. This includes Harvey Moeis and Sandra Dewi, who have been registered since March 1, 2018.
However, since 2020, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has been reorganizing the data of PBI APBD recipients to be more targeted. This process involves integrating the poor and underprivileged into the PBI JK segment funded by the central government.
In addition, there is an emphasis on employers to register their workers in the PPU (Wage Receiving Workers) segment and the "Mandiri itu Keren" campaign to encourage people who are able to pay contributions independently.
"Currently, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is revising the Governor's Regulation Number 46 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Health Insurance to adjust the criteria for PBI APBD participants so that this assistance is truly utilized by people in need," concluded Ani.
"We will also coordinate with BPJS Kesehatan regarding the revision of the Governor's Regulation, so that health protection for every citizen can be fulfilled but on target," concluded Ani.
